The EcoCriativo interuniversity competition was recently featured in InterPlast magazine, in an article dedicated to the three winning projects and their contribution to promoting recycling and the circular economy at universities.
Organized by APIP, Electrão, and Novo Verde, EcoCriativo challenged college students to develop creative proposals designed to encourage proper waste sorting, increase the visibility of recycling bins on college campuses, and engage the academic community in adopting more sustainable behaviors.
The InterPlast article highlights the ideas recognized by the jury: Greenscore, which took first place; Recash, which placed second; and Eco-Cup, the third-place winner. The proposals explore different ways to make recycling more accessible, participatory, and appealing to students, using communication, gamification, and the creation of new dynamics within higher education institutions.
The recognition given by InterPlast reinforces the importance of EcoCriativo as an initiative to raise environmental awareness and foster creativity among young people, demonstrating the role that universities can play in developing solutions for more efficient waste management.
