WUPA | World Union of Plastics Associations at CHINAPLAS 2026

WUPA is at Chinaplas, and the first day has been a great opportunity to connect with key players from across the global plastics industry.
APIP and PAGEV, as founding members of WUPA, represented by Amaro Lopes dos Reis and Pedro Paes do Amaral (President and Executive Vice President of APIP), and Yavuz Eroglu (President of PAGEV), are actively promoting this initiative, which aims to bring together plastics associations worldwide under a shared vision:
- a unified global voice
- communication grounded in science and reliable data
- stronger international cooperation across the sector
WUPA’s mission is to foster greater alignment in plastics-related regulation, counter misinformation, and contribute to a more transparent, credible and sustainable future for the sector.
This day was an opportunity to meet with Bernard Merkx, Founder of Green Wave Plastics, Nina Mando, Assistant Marketing Manager - International Buyers from The Adsale Group, Antonio Paolini and Sergio Hernan Hilbrecht, President and Executive Director of CAIP - Cámara Argentina de la Industria Plástica, Ren Chong, Coordinator of Malasya Plastics Recyclers Association and the team, Ebbo Botwe, President of the Ghana Plastic Manufacturers’ Association as well Tugce Terzi, Commercial Attaché of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Shanghai.
