This meeting was attended by Amaro Reis, President of APIP, Aldimir Torres from ANIPAC A.C., Paola Ruje from Acoplásticos - Asociación Colombiana de Industrias Plásticas and in representation of Aliplast, Jayesh Khimji Rambhia and Chandrakant Turakhia, from Plastivision India/AIPMA India, and Paul Baxter, from the British Plastics Federation. In the previous days, APIP also held meetings with CAIP - Cámara Argentina de la Industria Plástica and the Malasya Plastics Recyclers Association, both of which have already formalized their membership, as well as with GPMA - Ghana Plastic Manufacturers Association and IPR - Indonesian Plastics Recyclers.

Launched at the beginning of 2025 by its two founding members - APIP and PAGEV - and consolidated during the Plastics Summit - Global Event 2025, WUPA currently brings together 34 members from 30 countries in this international promotion phase. It aims to establish itself as a global coordination instrument, capable of strengthening the sector’s collective influence, harmonizing positions, and building a common narrative about the role of plastics in society, the circular economy, and sustainable development, while creating a space for strategic and continuous alignment around the major challenges facing the industry.

Because the challenges are global.

And the answer must be global too.
