APIP’s final moments at Chinaplas 2026, represented by its President, Amaro Reis, and Executive Vice President, Pedro Paes do Amaral, were marked by extensive networking with various international industry organizations.

APIP, represented by its Executive Vice-President, Pedro Paes do Amaral, PAGEV, represented by its President, Yavuz Eroglu, and Bernard Merkx, Founder of GreenWavePlastics promoted, on April 23rd at Chinaplas 2026, a meeting with several international plastics industry associations to continue the discussion and promotion of the WUPA | World Union of Plastics Associations.

This session addressed key issues in current labor law, with a particular focus on wage transparency, fixed-term contracts, and the most recent legislative changes.

This session, exclusively for members, took place today and was organized by APIP in partnership with Shiftify. It focused on a topic that is increasingly critical to the future of the industry: sustainability.

For the third consecutive year, APIP is participating in Empack and Logistics & Automation Porto, and yesterday hosted the roundtable discussion “PPWR: The New Era of Packaging | Is the Value Chain Ready?” in the DHL room.

WUPA is at Chinaplas, and the first day has been a great opportunity to connect with key players from across the global plastics industry.

This must-attend European event for the plastics, rubber, and composites industry will take place June 2–5 at Eurexpo Lyon.

On April 22 and 23, Empack and Logistics & Automation Porto return to Exponor, bringing together the key players in the logistics, automation, and packaging value chain.

APIP is partnering with this important event by organizing a roundtable discussion on the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation: “PPWR: The New Era of Packaging | Is the Value Chain Ready?”

APIP will provide its member small and medium-sized enterprises with free access to a platform that allows them to calculate their carbon footprint, identify measures to reduce emissions and operating costs, and detect opportunities for savings.
