A New Era of Responsible and Holistic Sustainability
APIP roadshow with the Secretary of State for the Environment
On January 31, APIP promoted a roadshow with the Secretary of State for the Environment, Emídio Sousa, to four of its member companies, namely Silvex, Sirplaste, Intraplás and Vizelpas.
This initiative, promoted by APIP, aimed to strengthen the open dialogue between the government and the industrial sector, highlighting the strategic role of the plastics industry in the national economy and its commitment and real contribution to the challenges of sustainability, innovation and the transition to a circular economy.
During the day, the Secretary of State had the opportunity to visit four companies that are examples of excellence in areas such as technological innovation, sustainable production and the circular economy. The visits included moments of interaction with business leaders, presentations of R&D projects, as well as demonstrations of practices that reflect the sector's efforts in the ongoing green transition and in promoting even more sustainable solutions.
With this action, APIP reaffirms its role as a facilitator of dialogue between the industry and the government, contributing to the definition of policies that are scientifically based and aligned with the real challenges of the business sector, where efficient waste management (collection, separation and treatment) and collective and individual behavioral change will continue to be essential for an effective ecological transition, towards a new era of responsible and holistic sustainability.
