APIP held the Public Sessions of the Mobilizing Agenda Sustainable Plastics and the Decarbonization Roadmap of the Plastics Industry

The public session of the Sustainable Plastics Agenda had the presence of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Hugo Pires, during the opening session. The session on the Roadmap for the Decarbonization of the Plastics Industry concluded with an intervention by the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate, Ana Gouveia.
APIP held the Public Sessions of the Mobilizing Agenda Sustainable Plastics and the Decarbonization Roadmap of the Plastics Industry

The public session of the Sustainable Plastics Agenda, in its opening session, was attended by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Hugo Pires, the President of the National Commission for PRR Monitoring, Pedro Dominguinhos, the Chairman of Logoplaste, Filipe de Botton, and Luís Veiga Martins, Chief Sustainability Officer of NOVA SBE. The session on the Roadmap for the Decarbonization of the Plastics Industry, in its opening session, featured interventions from Nuno Aguiar, Technical Director of APIP, Marta Moreira Marques, Behavioral Science Specialist from the National School of Public Health at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Jorge Cristino, Expert in Sustainability and Climate Change, and Anabela Vaz Ribeiro from the United Global Compact Network Portugal.



The context for the Sustainable Plastics Agenda was provided by Jorge Coelho from the University of Coimbra, the scientific leader of the project, preceding the presentations made by the business and scientific leaders of the 14 PPS that make up this Agenda.

The presentation of the Roadmap Project was carried out by Hermano Rodrigues from EY Parthenon, followed by Pedro Paes do Amaral with the highlights of the Plastics Summit – Global Event, whose next edition will take place on October 6th, 2025.
